Snow Tubing!!

I went snow tubing for the first time this weekend and had more fun than I had in a while. Usually when tubing you need to go down on your stomach which scared me to death. I was so scared I was going to bust my face up, but I braved the icy hill and got a running start and down I went. It was so much fun! Until...

I was getting a running start, with my tube in both hands. I leaped forward to go down the hill. Little did I know, I'm super fast and jumped past my tube, and went face first into the snow, just to role down the hill. Everyone at the top of the hill just goes, "Ohhhhh!" So embarrassing, but soooo funny. I can't wait to go again.

A Reinvented Rack

Like most Saturday mornings, I wake up and get into this cleaning frenzy. This morning I was cleaning the kitchen and putting the clean dishes away. In one of our cabinets, we have our pots and pans with a small, half-deep shelf in it that holds the lids. It worked, it was fine, but I always got nervous stacking glass lids on top of one another, just in case one fell and broke. And it dawned on me!! We have so many unused dish drying racks, maybe one will be useful and cute enough to help organize the lids. And low and behold, wah-lah, it worked!

And it fits great on the half-deep shelf. It's a perfect little invention.

DJ Duc and Breezy Bri's Friday Morning Rap

Some days, when Duc and I get into work, we like to make up a rap. It's fun and it just starts the day off on a silly mood, which helps it to go by quicker. Here's what we came up with today...

ONLINE CREEPER
Tapping on my keyboard,
With nothin' left to do,
Take a look around,
All I see if you.

I was thinkin' of my age,
And how I got so old,
Cruising on your page,
I think I struck some gold.

Your likes are pretty cool,
And your eyes are mighty fine,
I only got one rule,
That you love me long time.

Ah, this gave us a good laugh this morning. Happy Friday! Pe@ce out!

Piece of Cake!

Since I usually eat my lunch at my work desk, I like to take a mental break from anything that has to do with the medical field or animation field, so I read designer blogs. Lately, I've been cruising through my usual blogs' ads or blogs they follow. Most of them are clothing boutiques, like Ruche, and others are more about home decor, like Little Green Notebook.

While on Design*Sponge, I saw this article on these really cute cake stands from Sweet and Saucy Supply Shop and thought I would share!

I am mostly amazed by the cakes...

Yummmmm........ and so cute!!

What to Expect When Shopping with Jesse Brady

Jesse Brady is one of the funniest people I know, but he's really quiet about it for some reason. We got lunch on Saturday and decided to go shopping afterwards. He wanted to get some new shirts, so of course I didn't decline the invite to go shopping!

As Sarah and I were cruising through the  jewelry section in Target, we look over at Jesse and this is what we saw...
I guess he was just trying to get in touch with his feminine side hahaha... but then it just got worse...
Hahaha, I hope to take Jesse shopping again, real soon.

Additions for my Bedroom Make-Over

Piece by piece, I've been collecting things to redo my red room into the grey and yellow color palette. I have been searching for knobs to put on my dresser...

...but a lot of them are too expensive to buy 10. But while at Marshalls with a Jesse and Sarah, I found these really cute turquoise flower knobs. 6 knobs for 12.99, so I bought 2 packs.
I can't decide if I want to add turquoise to the yellows and greys, and my current black and white. Thoughts? I don't want it to look like Easter too much... well I mean at all. Maybe I will paint the knobs with some type of glossy paint, because I liked how cheap they were and I really like the flowers. It matches well with a lot of stuff I'm keeping in my room.

I'm excited for Spring approaching because it means I can finally take my dresser out onto my porch to paint! I was thinking of painting it mustard yellowish. And I am so over this cold snowy weather.

More About my New Bedroom

Hi!

So like I've written in my earlier blog, I am looking to redo my room with yellows and grays. I went to Target for the normal things (shampoo, conditioner, k-cups), and like usual walked out with more than what was on my list. I just love Target.

So I bought some yellow sheets...

...and some lemons I plan on putting in a vase...

We have loads of vases in our glass cabinets that I've been trying to figure out how to make use of, and I saw the lemon idea and thought it would be perfect for my yellow/gray theme.
